Pam Flowers is an author who visited us last year and wrote stories about her adventures as a musher. I read Douggie to the kindergartens this week-- complete with a Polar Bear encounter! We are talking more aobut books that are true (even when they have illustrations) and how you can tell the difference.
We also watched a video about Susan Butcher another musher from the north. I have been pleased with the Discovery Streaming site we subscribe to for video content to enhance my lesson.
